CORNERSTONE Stud in South Australia will stand Europe’s Champion First Crop Sire of 2016, Sir Prancealot (IRE) (Tamayuz-Mona Em by Catrail (USA)) in 2017. Sire of 32 individual winners of 46 races including Gr.3 winner Madam Dancelot (dam by Danehill) and Listed winner Sir Dancelot (dam by Danehill Dancer) in 2016, the Mr. Prospector-line sire’s fee will be announced in March.

“He was brilliant at 5f and undefeated at that trip,” his trainer Richard Hannon said. “He’s good looking and he put up a really stunning performance to win the Flying Childers-Gr.2 at his last start before being injured in training.”

He stands at Tally Ho stud in Ireland alongside fellow shuttler Zebedee (Invincible Spirit) and he defeated Helmet and Frankel to claim the first crop honours (by winners and by earnings). He won three of his six starts and was runner-up in the Prix Robert Papin-Gr.2 and fourth in the Prix Morny-Gr.1 and Coventry Stakes-Gr.2. His sire Tamayuz, a grandson of Gulch, won the Prix Jean Prat-Gr.1 and among his 117 winners is Haydock Sprint Cup-Gr.1 victor G Force, while his Listed-winning dam has produced seven winners including another stakes winner in Nice Applause.
