Slipper imprint on Holler's pedigree published: 28 Feb, 2017

DARLEY'S home bred Holler (Commands-Shouts by Strategic) was one of the first new stallion announcements for 2017 and Victorian breeders are bound to welcome him with open arms. The handsome son of the late Commands (Danehill (USA)) has strong credentials and he is one of his reliably classy sire's 71 stakes winners and has a pedigree littered with notable speed influences.

Territories published: 03 Apr, 2017

THE Prix Jean Prat-Gr.1 (1600m) winner and English 2000 Guineas-Gr.1 runner-up Territories (Invincible Spirit (IRE)-Taranto by Machiavellian) has a pedigree with lots in common to Danehill (USA). He’s by a Danzig-line sire and his dam sire Machiavellian is inbred to Almahmoud via daughters Cosmah and Natalma who appear 2×2 in the pedigree of his dam Coup de Folie. Danehill is by Danzig and carries Natalma 3mx3f.

Frosted published: 03 Apr, 2017

DARLEY’S two new shuttlers for 2017, Frosted (USA) and Territories (IRE), combine outstanding race records with some of the most commercial bloodlines in the world today. Triple Gr.1 winner Frosted is a son of US sire sensation Tapit, leading sire there for the past three years, while Gr.1 winner Territories is a son of Invincible Spirit (IRE), sire of boom Australian stallion I Am Invincible.

Furnaces published: 13 Apr, 2017

AQUIS Farm has added brilliant sprinter Furnaces to its roster in 2017 and the son of Exceed and Excel will command a fee of $9900. He’s a really attractive prospect for Queensland breeders too mixing the Danehill male line with a female family whose members include brilliant sprinters and sires Zeditave and Alannon.

Air Force Blue published: 13 Apr, 2017

COOLMORE is certainly bringing some more northern hemisphere big guns to its Jerrys Plains roster in 2017 in the shape of new shuttlers American Pharoah (USA) and Air Force Blue (USA). The former, a US Triple Crown winner, is the subject of an article elsewhere in this edition and the latter, the Champion Two Year-Old of Europe in 2015 and a triple Gr.1 winner from the Danzig male line, will feature here.
