An outstanding book of mares awaits former champion juvenile Myboycharlie ( Danetime ex Dulceata by Rousillon) at Vinery Stud for his first spring in Australia. The Group I Prix Morny winner arrived at the studs Scone property earlier this month and he has settled in well to his new surrounds with Vinery’s Bloodstock Manager, Adam White reporting,

Myboycharlie
“He has had a few weeks here now and he has gained back the weight they normally loose during the long trip,”
“We are really happy with him as an individual, he is a well balanced horse and athletic, you can see how he would have been such a fast horse. He’s a strong and precocious horse who should throw stock suited to Australian conditions,” White said.
The view is clearly shared by a large number of breeders who have ensured Myboycharlie is afforded every chance to succeed with the best possible introductory season of mares to visit him.
Among those in line to visit the Danehill grandson are:-
Translate (Love a Dane ex Secret’s Out by Key Business), the winner of the Group 3 VRC Matron Stakes and runner-up behind Divine Madonna in the Group 1 Myer Classic at Flemington. Trained at the course by David Hayes she was also runner-up in the Group 2 AJC Emancipation Stakes. Translate retired with earnings of close to $500,000. Another is Queen of Queens (King of Kings ex The Kulm by Grand Lodge), the winner of five of her 11 starts including the 2008 Group 3 SAJC South Australian Oaks.
Come Fly With Me (More Than Ready ex Positive Flyer by Full and By) the winner of the SAJC Listed Schweppervescence Stakes. Her grandam is Dinky Flyer whose nine wins include the AJC Group I Queen Elizabeth Stakes and the Group 3 Villiers Stakes, both at Randwick.
Nice Dancing (Bering ex Grand Luxe by Sir Ivor), the dam of six winners including Group 3 Vanity Stakes winner Musidor and hails from the same family as Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur.
Montelimar (Fusaichi Pegasus ex Allez France by Hennessy) was stakes placed and she is a half-sister to the Widden Stakes winner Superfly (by Rock of Gibraltar)
Others include three American stakes winning mares by More Than Ready, Royal Academy and Belong To Me.
”We are gratified and encouraged that breeders are supporting Myboycharlie in his first season here with outstanding broodmares. His book is shaping up as a combination of proven mares, stakes winning fillies and mares off the track and a number of imported mares or those with internationally recognisable families,” White said.
