Danehill Dancer,
Racing and Breeding
News out of Ireland that Fairyhouse Racecourse tackled the recession head-on by charging a €5 entrance fee to their race-meeting on Sunday and they were rewarded with a doubling of their corresponding 2008 crowd figure. The card featured the listed Belgrave Stakes over 1200m and featured the likes of Snaefell, Three Rocks, Senor Benny and Georgebernardshaw, but it was the Tommy Stack trained Aine that got
up close home to collar Michael Halfords Snaefell.
Aine, (pronounced awn-ya and a former goddess of love in Irish Mythology and by all accounts a lady not to be messed with) was bred by her trainer in partnership with Newborough Stud and she lead home a 1-2-3 for her sire Danehill Dancer.
