Outstanding performer Sacred Kingdom was crowned Champion Sprinter in Hong Kong for the second year running at a glittering end of season awards ceremony at Sha Tin on Wednesday.
The world’s top ranked turf sprinter, Sacred Kingdom was able to overcome injury to win the $1million Krisflyer Sprint in Singapore in course record time and was fifth at his most recent start in the Group One Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Sacred Kingdom (Encosta de Lago ex Courtroom Sweetie by Zeditave) was also awarded Most Popular Horse in Hong Kong with 61,529 votes giving him the title over Viva Pataca.
