Mufhasa was bred by Rich Hill principal’s Colin & John Thompson and sold at the New Zealand Bloodstock select sale in 2006 for just $50,000.
It’s just another feather in the cap for Pentire (Be My Guest - Gull Nook by Mill Reef) as it is the third time one of his progeny has received New Zealand’s top award with Excellent (ex Excelo by Centro) a dual winner of the Horse Of The Year title in 2004-05 and 2005-06.
Fresh from the excitement of Friday night’s awards dinner, the team at Rich Hill welcomed their latest stallion recruit, champion English 2YO and Derby winner Sir Percy on to the farm on Saturday morning.    The champion racehorse travelled and quarantined in excellent order and looked a picture as he was unloaded.  Sir Percy has let down into a magnificent individual, full of quality and natural muscle.
The stud are looking forward to its open day on Sunday, August 23rd, and  parading him to breeders and interested parties.   Please contact Rich Hill if you wish to attend the day which gets under way at 11:00am.
