Widden Stud young guns Sebring, Northern Meteor and War Pass (USA) are all proving adept in the breeding barn, demonstrating excellent fertility as they work through outstanding books of mares this spring.
Northern Meteor and Sebring have been extremely popular and each of them has more than 50 mares in foal already.
“We have now been covering for six weeks and both young stallions have demonstrated excellent fertility and libido,” said Antony Thompson.
“They have been very busy as the response from breeders was so overwhelming, but both horses have a great temperament and have settled into the routine of stud life quickly.”
Some of the mares already tested in foal to Northern Meteor include: young stakes wining mares such as Beauty Watch, Beautiful Gem, Blab, Listen Here, High Rollin’ Woman, Fasline and Is Amazing. Also the dams of stakes winners such as Vintner and in form mare Miss Marielle, in addition to a host a beautifully related young mares.
Some of the mares in foal Sebring include: young stakes winning mares such as Pleasantsundaygirl, Upsetthym, Lacey Underall, Crown Princess, Demographic, Hidden Strings, Dream The Dream, Vietnam and champion South African mare National Colour. Also the dams of stakes winners such as Headturner, Kroner, Absolute Glam, God’s Own, Zip Zip Array, Undoubtedly, Royal Discretion, Regal Kiss, Horizons etc.
Champion US two year-old War Pass is also progressing through an outstanding book of mares that include: stakes-winners Crowned Glory, She’s Country, Ascorbic, Pure Black, Fuss, Raja Lane and stakes performers such as Polaway and Mi Chiamo. Also the dams of stakes-winners Fast ‘n’ Famous, Champagne Harmony as well as some beautifully related mares including half sisters to Group One winners Typhoon Zed, River Dove, Gold Guru, Mr. Bureaucrat, Heart Ruler, Tytola etc.
