Melbourne, Vic (December 30th, 2009) - Danehill Dancer filly, Ambers Waltz has booked her place in the field for next month’s $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic with brilliant debut win followed by a solid runners-up effort on Boxing Day at Randwick last week.One of the costly fillies out of this years’ Magic Millions Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast, Ambers Waltz, has had the grounding to show up in the $2 million Magic Millions Classic (1200m) on January 9th at the Gold Coast.
Selected for her owners’ by renowned agent James Bester they paid $550,000 for the brown filly.
A half-sister to Ambers Waltz by Fusaichi Pegasus is listed for sale at Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale at Belmont (January 28th-31st). The filly, a chestnut, is catalogued as lot 347 and is being prepared by Alwyn Park Stud.
Magic Millions Perth Manager Murray Tillett reports, “She’s a lovely filly - I saw her just recently and we’re looking forward to offering her as she’s a quality yearling and the decision to sell her in Perth is a great compliment to us from her breeder,” he said.
Ambers Halo, the dam of Ambers Waltz and the Fu Peg youngster, was a classy racemare who won 11 races that included three at black type level.
A daughter of Don’t Say Halo, Ambers Halo won the Group Three Hyperion Stakes as well as the Jungle Dawn Classic and Starstruck Premium Classic at listed level.
Her first foal, an unraced three-year-old by Elvstroem, has shown good ability and is in training with Alan Matthews and is scheduled to trial very soon.
