Melbourne, Vic (December 30th, 2009) - The racing future of five-time Group I winner Racing To Win (Encosta de Lago - Surrealist by Kennys Best Pal) appears to be in question.
Although the stable of his trainer, John O’Shea, are not officially saying the problem will call a halt to Racing to Win’s career, Sky Channel’s and Radio Sport 927 Andrew Bensley, reports the injury Racing To Win suffered during the running of the Group 1 Hong Kong Mile earlier this month could possibly spell the end of his career.

Racing To Win arrived back in Australia with cult hero Apache Cat yesterday (Tuesday Dec 29th) to serve his final weeks of quarantine at Sandown racecourse in Victoria.
Trained at Randwick by O’Shea, Racing To Win had been travelling well during the group one feature at Sha Tin on Sunday December 13 when he uncharacteristically began to fade from contention after making a brief surge on the home turn as Good Ba Ba went on to win the feature for the third year in a row.
Straight after the event O’Shea wasn’t worried about the battering Racing To Win had received and didn’t feel the cuts offered an excuse and just expressed his obvious disappointment.
Now many days later real concern has set in with the lesion on his pretty greys hind leg.
