ShamardalMelbourne, Vic (Feb 24th, 2010) - Aichi, Raihana and Le Drakkar will be flying the Aussie flag at Meydan on Thursday night appearing on the eight race card in Dubai.
Aichi (Strategic – Nagoya by Quest For Fame) appears in the first race on the card and has the services of Ahmed Ajtebi in a $120,000 sprint over 1200m, while Le Drakkar (Anabaa – My Mo Rally by Mi Preferido) appears in the last race the Imax Cup (1600m). Both events are to be run on the all weather course.
The Listed UAE Oaks is the feature race on the card and the Australian bred Raihana (Elusive Quality – Esubooh by Sunday Silence), trained by Mike de Kock, will be out to stop Godolphin’s Siyaadah (Shamardal – River Belle by Lahib) as they search for a third successive victory in the 1900m event.
Raihana and Siyaadah take on six other rivals including Berg Bahn (Big Bad Bob – Ski for Me by Barathea), Bikini Babe (Montjeu – Zeiting by Zieten), Talenta (Wild Event – Brincalhona by Lode)and Mensajera De La Luz (Election Day – Cuenta Conmigo by Gallantsky), who all finished behind the Godolphin filly in the UAE 1,000 Guineas (1600m) Feb 11th.
