Melbourne, Vic (March 9th, 2010) - Al Maher’s multiple stakes winning daughter Majestic Music added another major black-type feature to her already impressive record when turning in an outstanding performance to land the Group 2 SAJC Yallambee Classic (1200m) on the Adelaide Cup program at Morphettville.
First-up from a summer spell after previously finishing second in the Group 2 MRC Sandown Guineas in November 2009, Majestic Music came from the tail of the field in a hotly contested event to win by a long-head. This top-class filly was winning for the fifth time in her career — each and every one of her successes having been recorded in black-type company.

Majestic Music (Al Maher - Regal Flute by Royal Academy) wins the G2 Edward Manifold Stakes
Such has been the level of Majestic Music’s performance that she is now a Group winner as a 2-year-old, as a spring 3-year-old and now at the first start of her autumn 3-year-old campaign. Moreover, she has won at stakes level at 1200 metres (twice), 1400 metres and 1600 metres (twice), and against many of the leading fillies of her generation.
Co-trainer Leon Macdonnald declared after the Yallambee Classic: “She’s one of the best fillies in Australia…”, before confirming that her next appearance will come in the Group 1 SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes over the same course and distance.
Majestic Music’s latest success highlights the two daughters by Al Maher in the Emirates Park draft at the Magic Millions sale that got under way today. The young stallion is also represented at the William Inglis Easter yearling sale in April (6-8) where 12 yearlings by him have been catalogued for sale where Emirates Park will offer half-brothers to the Group I winners Mnemosyne and Dash for Cash.
