Melbourne, Vic (March 20th, 2010) - Ireland’s leading trainer, Aidan O’Brien, is looking forward to gettting back to headquarters on Sunday with a big team set to line up at the Curragh meeting.
In the first race of the day O’Brien will be represented by Emperor Hadrian and Pirateer, and the trainer expects Emperor Hadrian to win and break his maiden status.
Another, Full Of Hope, who runs in the three-year-old Maiden, is returning to the track for her second career start, and she has been working along nicely and is ready to get her campaign off to good start.
In the feature race of the day the Group 3 Express Stakes (1600m), O’Brien saddles up Devoted To You and Lady Lupus, and he reports that while Devoted To You, won last year with an ease in the ground, he is hopeful the ground is soft on Sunday and if it is he expects her to run well. While Lady Lupus, will need the outing and a longer journey.
Although, Purple Heart has plenty of weight in the 5 o’clock, he is another that’s ready for his first run of 2010 while Bright Horizon, a son of Galileo, in the following race is another that O’Brien expects to be in need of the outing. Encompassing and Ferdinand Magellan, are both by Montjeu, and both colts are ready to run well and are expected to fight out the finish.
