Hussonet posted his 73rd stakeswinner, and his seventh in Australia this season, when his three-year-old daughter Girl Hussler (ex Vecchia Signora by Snippets) won the BRC Listed Daybreak Lover Plate (1400m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday in a smart 1.22.43.
Tromso (Lonhro - Feelers by Quest for Fame) denied the son of Mr. Prospector the stakes quinella as Latin News (ex Email Me by Danehill) finished third while another son Hus Der Lieften (ex Sunday Valentine by Sunday Silence) came in next.
Bred & co-owned by W. Bugno, Girl Hussler is trained by David Payne who told Sy Racing,
“She’s a very good filly, I think people underestimated her. She should have won her last race carrying 58kg and she had already met Tromso and beat him.
“She will go to the paddock now. She is a young filly and she has done enough.”
Hussonet is available to approved mares for foal shares only at Arrowfield stud this spring.
