French company Arqana have launched a new online tool for buyers: the interactive catalogue with the release of information on 480 yearlings due to be offered at Deauville next month.
The groundbreaking service will be made available for all ARQANA sales and can be accessed from the ARQANA website.
ARQANA believe its role is to help prospective buyers in their homework by allowing them to search a catalogue according to various criteria, thus enabling them to obtain their short list in record time.
The main options of this tool for a yearling sale such as the August sale are:
The filters: sort the catalogue according to your specific criteria
The interactive catalogue allows you to select the lots that match several objective criteria. All criteria can be combined, for instance it is possible to search all fillies by King’s Best to sell on the Saturday, or all yearlings consigned by Haras du Quesnay on the Saturday and qualified for the French premiums.
Filter on the sires of the horses on offer: select one or several sires and view the pedigrees of all their progeny to go under the hammer.
Filter on gender: choose to restrict your search to colts, fillies and/or geldings.
Filter on vendors: select one or several vendors of which you see to see the drafts
Filter on day of sale: choose to restrict your search to one or several specific day(s)
Filter on eligibility to the French owners’ premiums: select yearlings eligible for the owners’ premiums only, or the opposite.
Favourite lots: create your short list online
Click on the star symbol next to the lot number to mark your favourite lots. You can then download the pedigrees of your short-list as a personalised mini-catalogue and even view your optimum inspection itinerary.
