Well-bred filly Queen Of Spain has added another win to the tally of champion two-year-old Holy Roman Emperor when cruising to victory in a 1200m maiden at Naas in Ireland overnight.
The result was never in doubt with the odds-on favourite leading throughout and winning eased down by a cosy five lengths at the line.
A three-parts sister to four-time Gr.1 winner Mastercraftsman, Queen Of Spain (ex Starlight Dreams by Black Tie Affair) had been pitched in at the deep end on her previous start, contesting the Gr.3 Albany Stakes, where she had ran well.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien will set her for black type company again.
Queen of Spain is the 11th individual winner for Coolmore’s Holy Roman Emperor. The son of Danehill is already a sire of a number of very useful performers, including Listed winner High Award, along with the Royal Ascot stakes placegetter Petronius Maximus and Gr.3 placed filly Juliet Capulet.
Holy Roman Emperor returns to Coolmore Australia for the 2010 southern season where he will stand at $27,500 (inc gst)
