The stakes victory by shuttle stallion Invincible Spirit in Ireland last week will have Peter Heagney and his team running updates to the August Thoroughbred sale notes as the National Stud based stallion recorded his 39th individual stakes winner.
Invincible Ash (ex Fully Fashioned by Brief Truce) made it a hat trick of victories when landing the Listed Abergwaun Stakes (1000m) at Tipperary.
A speedy filly, well placed by her trainer, Michael Halford collected her sixth win and first stakes win at her 28th career start. A graduate of the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling sale she was a €45,000 purchase and has since won more than a million dollars.
At this year’s August Thoroughbred sale, 19th & 20th, the Green Desert stallion has two mares and a gelding for sale.
Sanpan catalogued, 101, ex Citrium (by Citidancer) is believed to be in foal to Strategic and the unraced Northwood Spirit (ex Carlotta by Pompeii Court), lot 199, is other female and will be sold on the second day.
A unique feature to the sale is parade of 10 first season sires on Thursday, August 19th.
Commencing at 11am, it gives interested parties an ideal opportunity to inspect some of Victoria’s freshman stallions at one central venue.
