Sid Fernando, president of Werk Thoroughbred Consultants, Inc., the owner of eNicks, announced on Tuesday, August 31st, that British-based Clive Webb-Carter Bloodstock Services has been named the WTC representative in Europe.
Webb-Carter will promote stallion sponsorships of the company’s online eNicks rating service, which includes the popular MareMatch program.
“We’re so happy to have Clive on board,” Fernando said.
“Clive is a highly respected bloodstock and pedigree consultant in Europe and I’m confident that he will represent us, our foreign clients, and our services well. His knowledge of pedigrees is second-to-none and we’re pleased to team up with him.”
WTC, incorporated by the late Jack Werk in 1988, is a leading pedigree consulting firm based in Fremont, California, that pioneered the original commercial sire-line nick rating service that has been notably copied in recent years. Its Werk Nick Rating, however, remains the industry standard and is the most widely used nick rating in the United States. At present, more than 700 sponsoring stallions are enrolled in eNicks - significantly more than the number of horses on any other commercial nick-rating service.
For information on eNicks, visit www.enicks.com.
Breeders can access nicks for sponsoring stallions for free by creating a username and password. MareMatch is a unique utility that instantly displays all stallions that provide an A grade and better Werk Nick Rating for a specific mare with enrolled stallions.
Clive Webb-Carter set up his pedigree consultancy business in 2005 having gained industry experience for ten years, which included time in Kentucky, New Zealand and Newmarket.
