Doubles for Elvstroem, Anabaa

Blue Gum Farm stallion Elvstroem added two more winners to his record on Tuesday when Impala (4 g Elvstroem – Great Shack) and John’s Special (4 g Beauty Within) both scored at Mackay.

Impala won the $10,000 Bullivant Plate over 1050m in a 1,2 for his multiple Group 1 winning sire by defeating High Payoff (5 g Elvstroem – Nuts About Jugah) by three-quarters of a length. John’s Special bolted in by seven and a half lengths in winning the 1050m Maiden under 57.5kg and both winners trained by S Kenrick.

Elvstroem is standing for $8800 (incl. GST) at Blue Gum Farm in 2011.

Former shuttle stallion Anabaa also added two new winners to his record at Gosford when End Of Time (4 g Pilya) won the $16,000 Grange Hotel Maiden over 2100m. Trained by Grahame Begg, End Of Time defeated Yates Road (Stratum) by three-quarters of a length.

$160,000 Magic Million yearling Hannah Jane (3 f Anabaa – Fair Vanity) ran out the impressive winner of the Glason Group 3yo Maiden, sailing home two and three-quarter lengths clear of Pride Of China (Danzero) for trainer Anthony Cummings.
