Arrowfield stallions past and present registered a winning treble in successive races at Gosford on Thursday.
Without Doubt (5 g Not A Single Doubt – Wave Hello, by Molokai Prince) got the ball rolling when winning the $16,000 Class 1 Handicap over 1600m, followed by Mounted (4 g Charge Forward – Empire Bay, by Polish Navy) who won the Benchmark 65 Handicap over 1000m and then King’s Dominion (3 g Danzero – Fizzi Lizzi, by Royal Academy) took the Class 1 Handicap over 1000m.
Mounted is trained on track by Albert Stapleford and defeated Negombo by half a length. Stapleford paid $50,000 for Mounted as a yearling at the 2009 Inglis Classic Sale and yesterday was the third win for the four-year-old.
Without Doubt is trained by Bindi Cheers, who also shares in the ownership of the five-year-old who was winning his second race from 33 starts.
Golden Slipper Stakes winner Danzero now stands for Anthony Mithen at his Rosemont Stud near Geelong in Victoria.
