Vinery hailing century for More Than Ready

Vinery Stud is celebrating the a century of individual Stakes winner for More Than Ready (Southern Halo – Woodman’s Girl, by Woodman) after Maybe So’s (More Than Ready – Wish On, by Grand Slam) win in the  Mountaineer Juvenile Stakes (1m).

Maybe So tracked the speed in the $100,000 event before hitting the line too well for his opposition at the Moutaineer Casino Racetrack and resort in West Virginia to record his second win from as many starts.

Australian racetracks have supplied More Than Ready with 44 individual Stakes winners, including the super Sydney mare More Joyous (More Than Ready – Sunday Joy, by Sunday Silence) and Golden Slippers winner Sebring (More Than Ready – Purespeed, by Flying Spur) and Phelan Ready (More Than Ready – Nancy Eleanor, by Blevic).

Benicio (More Than Ready – Mannington, by Danehill), Perfectly Ready (More Than Ready – Elle Duccio, by Danehill)  and Blue Diamond Stakes victor Samaready (More Than Ready – Samar, by Secret Savings) are also Group 1 winners sire by the top shuttle stallion.

More Than Ready stand his 12th southern hemisphere season in Australia in the spring. The stallion will command a $121,000 (inc GST) service fee this year.
