Darley sire Exceed And Excel (Danehill - Patrona, by Lomond) has eight of the 64 youngsters remaining in contention for this month’s Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield.

The Darley organisation itself has five of Exceed And Excel’s progeny among the third declarations for Victoria’s richest juvenile event, including the smart debut winner Applegate (Exceed And Excel - Klamath Falls, by Storm Cat).

Applegate won at Listed level during the Flemington spring carnival to be among the leading fancies for the Blue Diamond Stakes.

Another Darley stallion Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) is the sire of the ruling Blue Diamond Stakes favourite Jimando (Commands - Finko, by Caerleon).

Patinack Farm sponsors the $1 million feature. Its two first- season sires Husson (Hussonet - Villa Elisa, by Roy) and Casino Prince (Flying Spur - Lady Capel, by Last Tycoon) have five and three runners remaining in the Blue Diamond Stakes respectively.

Caulfield will host the Blue Diamond Stakes on February 25.

Game Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) gelding First Command (Commands - River Serenade, by Hurricane Sky) recorded the fourth stakes success of his 24-start career in Saturday’s Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m) at Flemington.

First Command overcame a midrace change of tactics from his jockey Steven Arnold, who elected to take the six-year-old back to the inside bunch after runners on his inside carried him to the outer half of the track.

First Command lifted late under 58kg to beat the lighter weighted duo Decircles (Encosta De Lago - Lady Circles, by Ascot Knight) and Weekend Special (Snitzel - Frescante, by Peintre Celebre).

First Command’s trainer Anthony Freedman said he would keep the $170,000 Magic Millions purchase to races “just below the top” level of sprinters during the autumn.

“He had a wind op after last year’s Oakleigh Plate,” Freedman said. “He is a lovely horse and deserves everything he gets. He has had a lot of problems and he keeps coming up.

“We won’t go over the top with him. The 1200 metres might stop him now, so 1000 metres to 1100 metres, we’ll tick along around there and he’ll keep winning hopefully.”

“I’m keen on putting them where they can win - not getting ahead of myself.”

First Command is the second stakes winner out of River Serenade (Hurricane Sky - Ride The Rapids, by River Rough), who is a sister to the Oakleigh Plate winner River Dove (Hurricane Sky - Ride The Rapids, by River Rough). River Serenade is also the dam of top Hong Kong sprinter One World (Danehill Dancer - River Serenade, by Hurricane Sky).

Outstanding sprinter Rain Affair (Commands - I Believe, by Octagonal) has provided his sire with a second Stakes success in the space of 18 hours with his win in Monday’s Listed Carrington Stakes (1100m) at Warwick Farm.

Queen’s Command (Commands - Judicial Queen, by Unbridled’s Song) took out the Group 3 Flamboyant Stakes (1600m) at Greyville in South Africa.  Rain Affair went straight to the front before winning the $100,000 race in a decisive manner, despite his trainer Joe Pride’s complaints about the firm Warwick Farm surface.

“I don’t like running my horses on tracks like that. I felt a bit of pressure this morning and I considered pulling him out but he had to run,” Pride said.

“I think he’s got a big race written all over him. This is a great horse. This horse is destined for big things but I’m going to be very judicious about how I place him.

“It’s very much an open plan. I don’t want to commit to anything because I’ll be guided by what the horse is doing and what he’s showing me.

“I think he’s as good a horse as any horse in the country on a wet track it just remains to be seen whether he’s that good when he’s on dry tracks.”

The Carrington Stakes was Rain Affair’s eighth from nine starts and his second stakes success.

On the day Commands sired an impressive juvenile winner at Betfair Park in Melbourne came news that he will not be shuttling to Japan in 2012.

The Peter Snowden-trained 2yo colt Dispatch (Commands - Depeche, by Octagonal) looked good defeating Isle of Dreams in the Hylands Race Colours handicap (1200m). “He’s very tough, he’s shown that at home, you can’t really hurt him too much and he’s definitely going to improve from today. He’s always shown ability, Dad’s always had a good opinion of him, and obviously that’s shone through today.” Melbourne stable foreman Paul Snowden said.

Darley yesterday announced the stud fees for its five stallions that will stand in Japan for the 2012 breeding season, with Commands not on the list for next year. Triple G1-winning Horse of the Year Admire Moon has sired two graded race winners, Leo Active and Fine Choice, from his first crop and will head the roster at a fee of ¥4.0m.

The first crop foals of Champion Deep Sky and record-breaking G1 miler Pyro are tremendous. Deep Sky’s foals have been particularly well-received and averaged ¥24.8m at the sales. Deep Sky and Pyro will stand for ¥2.5m and ¥1.5m respectively.

Shotaro Kajiya, Darley’s nominations manager, said, “We are pleased to announce the fees of our five stallions for 2012. Our roster offers exceptional quality and value and we look forward to talking to our clients in the coming months.”

The fees for Darley’s 2012 stallions are as follows;

Admire Moon. End Sweep – My Katies (Sunday Silence) ¥4.0million

Deep Sky. Agnes Tachyon – Abi (Chief’s Crown) ¥2.5million

Pyro. Pulpit – Wild Vision (Wild Again) ¥1.5million

Storming Home. Machiavellian – Try to Catch Me (Shareef Dancer) ¥1.5million

Xaar. Zafonic – Monroe (Sir Ivor) ¥0.5million

Friday evening’s Canterbury meeting in Sydney produced two smart Maiden winners. Fastnet Rock filly Sea Siren came with a big sprint to win the  Williams Premium Lager Hcp (1200m)  her second start while Darley homebred Kuhreihen, a son of Commands, overcame difficulties to score in the opening race of the night, the Deen Vat Series Handicap (1200m).

Sea Siren (3 f Fastnet Rock - Express A Smile, by Success Express) is a half-sister to Stakes winners Discorsi, Lady Dehere and Oratorio (now a successfiul sire in WA) and is raced by her breeder, Keith Biggs, Trained at Randwick by John O’Shea, Sea Siren was ridden by Glyn Schofield, who said, ”She’s a nice filly. She’s still a bit new in the head, it’s all a bit strange to her still so she’ll keep getting better as she matures.”

Kuhreihen (3 c Commands - Nostalgic, by Quest For Fame) looked no chance halfway up the straight but he was able to get clear and came late to just get up.

“I was under lock and key and had to get him to the outside to make his run but he was doing his best work late.” said jockey Hugh Bowman.

Kuhreihen’s dam is a half-sister to the Gr 1 winner Dracula and he has a future according to the stable. “Peter [Snowden] thinks he’s a nice horse, he’s definitely a Saturday horse.” said stable representative Brad Widdup.

Darley stallions closed out Friday night’s Moonee Valley meeting with a running double in the final two races of the evening.

Anthony Freedman prepared both winners, who carried Darley’s famous maroon and white silks to victory. Sabres (Elusive Quality - Duel At Daybreak, by Dayjur) led all the way to claim a strong win in the NYE at Moonee Valley Handicap (1600m) before Tahitian Black (Lonhro - Perle, by Night Shift) proved too strong in the racingnetwork.com.au Handicap (1200m).

Tahitian Black is one of four city winners out of the consistent producer Perle (Night Shift - Pinctada, by Imposing). Perle is the dam of the stakes winner Falaise (Grand Lodge - Perle, by Night Shift).

Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) also contributed a winner on Friday when Pace Ace (Commands - Lansaracove, by Rory’s Jester) won the Pact And Bonaire Handicap (1008m).

Lyon made it four winners for Darley on Friday when the four-year-old gelding claimed the Key Employment Handicap (1309m) at Coffs Harbour.

Meanwhile, Blue Gum Farm resident Elvstroem (Danehill - Circles Of Gold, by Marscay) enjoyed a double success of his own with winners at the Sunshine Coast and Mount Gambier.

Two Timing (Elvstroem - Lap Dance, by Brief Truce) led home an Elvstroem quinella in the Gunnersens Maiden Plate (1550m) at Mount Gambier while Lomu (Elvstroem - Wellington Dreamer, by El Qahira) claimed the Hackney Insurance Group Maiden (1100m) at the Sunshine Coast.

Trainer Peter Snowden produced two promising looking juvenile’s at Monday’s Cranbourne Barrier Trials.

Both are Darley homebreds and both won their respective heats. Commands colt Dispatch (2 c Commands - Depeche, by Octagonal)  defeated the Robbie Griffiths-trained General Hap by a neck to claim the colts and geldings’ 800m trial in 48.23 on a track rated ‘Slow’.

Inbred to the great mare Eight Carat, Dispatch is closely related to the stakes winner Marching, also by Commands and is from from the same family as Group I winner Crawl.

Harpers (2 f Exceed And Excel - Media, by Gilded Time) won the two-year-old fillies’ heat in a time of 51.12 seconds, nearly two and a half seconds slower than her stablemate.

Harpers is out of Media, winner of the Gimcrack Stakes and the Gr 2 Magic Night Stakes as a juvenile. Media is a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Timbourina and the stakes winning sprinter Cardinal Virtue.

Darley stallions cut a swathe through Friday night’s Moonee Valley meeting with a hat trick of winners.

Exceed And Excel (Danehill - Patrona, by Lomond) mare Exceed And Excite (Exceed And Excel - Ladidi, by Palace Music) started things off for Darley with her gritty win in the Essendon Mazda 55-Second Challenge (955m).

Exceed And Excite led at a quick pace before pulling out plenty to win the $30,000 race by a short head. Newmarc Bloodstock paid $65,000 for Exceed And Excite at the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Reconcentrate (Reset - Border Reverie, by Brief Truce) came from off the speed to claim the next race, the Cleanaway Handicap (1200m). Reconcentrate’s dam Border Reverie (Selkirk - Dreams, by Rainbow Quest) foaled a filly by Reset (Zabeel - Assertive Lass, by Zeditave) earlier this month.

Provincial trainer Malcolm Carson produced the third winner by a Darley stallion when On My Command led throughout to claim the Moonee Valley - Celebrating 150 Years Handicap (1200m).

Earlier, Anthony Freedman produced Alarms (Lonhro - RIona, by Strategic) to win the racingnetwork.com.au Handicap (1100m) at Kyneton.

The Darley roster has four representatives in the top 10 Australian sires by earnings this season. Reset is ranked fourth while Elusive Quality (fifth), Commands (ninth) and Exceed And Excel (10th) are also among the elite stallions in the first third of the 2011/12 season.

Premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller trialled more than $1 million worth of bloodstock at Tuesday’s set of heats held at Rosehill.

Waller’s charges took out seven of the dozen heats contested on Tuesday morning, including two of the three two-year-old trials with a pair of Ingham Racing-owned colts.

Fundido (Lonhro - Red Fever, by Red Ransom) posted an outstanding eight-length win in the third heat of the morning in the time of 53.98 seconds for the 900 metres.

Fundido was a $70,000 purchase at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale from the same family as the juvenile stakes winners Way West (Danehill - Prospect Fever, by Mr Prospector) and Jumlah (Catbird - Marlow Waters, by Marauding)

Fob Dubai (Charge Forward - Barsha, by Redoute’s Choice) cost Ingham Racing $150,000 at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale. Fob Dubai showed he would go a long way to recouping his owners’ investment with a 2.8-length success in the fifth heat of the morning.

The colt’s stablemate Rastro (Mossman - Raise A Dane, by Danehill), a $120,000 2011  Gold Coast Magic Millions sale purchase, worked home nicely to finish second in the heat.

Access Code (Pins - Lilakyn, by Danehill) cost Ingham Racing $260,000 at the Inglis Easter sale. The three-year-old got home narrowly to claim the 11th heat of the day. The $600,000 yearling purchase Valhussle (Hussonet - Ribe, by Danehill) finished fifth in the sixth trial as he prepared for his return to the track.

Impressive filly Applegate (Exceed And Excel - Klamath Falls, by Storm Cat) became the 42nd individual stakes winner for Darley sire Exceed And Excel (Danehill - Patrona, by Lomond) with her win in the Listed Ottowa Stakes (1000m) at Tuesday’s Flemington meeting.

The Darley homebred settled off the pace before producing a smooth turn of foot to reel in the Snitzel (Redoute’s Choice - Snippets’ Lass, by Snippets) filly Snitzerland (Snitzel - Monte Rosa, by Fraar) to win by a head.

Winning trainer Peter Snowden said he would aim Applegate at the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield in the autumn.

“The timing is right to give her a break now,” Snowden said. “She is obviously a talented filly and we’ll have a look at something like the Blue Diamond.”

Sons of Danehill (Danzig - Razyana, by His Majesty) provided all three placegetters  when the Redoute’s Choice (Danehill - Shantha’s Choice, by Canny Lad) two-year-old Rhandara (Redoute’s Choice - Bhandara, by Zabeel) worked home well for third.

Applegate provided Exceed And Excel with his first juvenile win of the season. Darley sires Lonhro (Octagonal - Shadea, by Straight Strike) and Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) have already produced two-year-old stakes winners this season.

Applegate is the second stakes winner for the Storm Cat mare Klamath Falls (Storm Cat - Link River, by Gone West) after Yulalona (Dubai Destination - Klamath Falls, by Storm Cat) won the Listed Dulcify Quality (1800m) as a three-year-old.

Swettenham Stud stallions made a lightning start to Tuesday’s Kyneton meeting with winners in the first two races of the day.

Keep The Faith (Sunday Silence - Duelling Girl, by Dayjur) got the day under way for Swettenham Stud with his success in the Hanging Rock Winery Maiden Plate (1887m). The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained filly That’s What I Want (Dash For Cash - Coversinga, by Danasinga) completed Swettenham’s double with her win in the TVN Maiden Plate (1118m).

The smart debutant became Ellerton and Zahra’s 14th winner of the season with her half-length success in the $12,000 race. The Flemington stable has done their part to support the local breeders with Victorian-based stallions providing half of the operation’s wins this season.

Meanwhile, the $300,000 yearling Instinction (Exceed And Excel - Delago Mist, by Encosta De Lago) cast aside his maiden status at his fourth attempt with a win in the Glen Erin Group Maiden Plate (1479m) at Kyneton. The Mick Price-trained colt began a double for Darley sires with his success.

The Peter Snowden-trained Cliques (Commands - Factional, by Octagonal) became the second leg of the Darley double with her win over older rivals in the NMIT Handicap (1479m).

The two sons of Danehill (Danzig - Razyana, by His Majesty) have sired the winners of 91 races between them with Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) producing 58 of those.

Two outstanding racehorses combined to produce a smart maiden winner when the Peter Moody-trained Soros (Lonhro - Bonanova, by Star Way) won stylishly at Seymour on Sunday.

Soros came from a midfield position to win the www.racingnetwork.com.au Maiden Plate (1300m). The colt, owned in the same interests as the former Australian Racehorse Of The Year Typhoon Tracy (Red Ransom - Princess Tracy, by Last Tycoon), won the $20,000 race at his first start.

Soros was withdrawn from the Vinery Stud draft at last year’s Inglis Australian Easter Sale.

His sire, Darley resident Lonhro (Octagonal - Shadea, by Straight Strike), was a former Australian Racehorse Of The Year himself as well as last season’s Australian Champion Stallion. Bonanova’s (Star Way - St Klaire, Bletchingly) eight wins included the Group 1 Emirates Stakes (1600m) in 1999.

Bonanova has been a successful broodmare in her own right, foaling stakes winners Bonaichi (Fusaichi Pegasus - Bonanova, by Star Way) and Prima Nova (Danehill Dancer - Bonanova, by Star Way).

Soros’s win completed a double for Darley sires at the Seymour Cup meeting. The Peter Snowden-trained Gig (Commands - Busking, by Encosta De Lago) won the opening race of the day, the Railway Club Hotel Maiden Plate (1200m).

Top Darley sire Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) earned his 42nd individual stakes winner when the impressive youngster Jimando (Commands - Finko, by Caerleon) claimed Wednesday’s Listed Debutants Stakes (1000m) at Caulfield.

Trainer Tony McEvoy threw the two-year-old into the deep end in Victoria rather than beginning the youngster’s career in his home state of South Australia. Jimando justified his trainer’s faith by racing handy to the pace before sprinting clear to record a comfortable success.

McEvoy paid $50,000 for Jimando at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale earlier this year. The trainer said he had not earmarked the colt to race as a juvenile but Jimando’s rapid progress forced him to give the two-year-old a preparation.

“He’s a big, strong fellow, his dam line says that he should be three (years old) and further,” McEvoy said. “I never had any intentions of running him at two and funny things happen with horses.

“He kept telling me to take him to the races and he really impressed me today, that’s the best he’s ever gone so that’s nice that he saves it for race day.”

McEvoy said Jimando would have his next start in the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) during Melbourne Cup week before considering a start in the rich Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) in January.

Jimando was the first juvenile winner of the season for Commands.

Young Darley stallion Nadeem (Redoute’s Choice - Candide, by Sound Reason) earned his first winner in New Zealand as part of a successful Wednesday for the worldwide breeding operation.

Military Reign’s (Nadeem - Girl Like You, by Rory’s Jester) win in the Races B4 The Rugby Maiden (1100m) at Arawa Park was one of eight wins on either side of the Tasman Sea for current Darley sires.

Last season’s Australian champion sire Lonhro (Octagonal - Shadea, by Straight Strike) led the way with a double at Canterbury. The Chris Waller-trained Hoylonny (Lonhro - Roedean, by Flying Spur) scored in the Rosehill on Facebook Maiden (1200m) before Lohengrin (Lonhro - Suede, by Quest For Fame) claimed the Ascot Club Handicap (1100m).

Darley’s band of sires dominated the Sandown Lakeside meeting, winning four of the seven races contested. Zubbaya (Dubawi - Sabkha, by Green Desert) and Typeface (Elusive Quality - Lucida, by Danehill) carried Darley’s famous maroon and white colours to victory while The Kitkat Kid (Gonski - Sharna Cabarna, by Dolphin Street) remained unbeaten with his second win from as many starts.

Fantastic Light mare Princess Fontaine (Fantastic Light - Dandasila, by Danehill Dancer) completed Darley’s quartet of wins at Sandown. Oak Street (Commands - Restless Dream, by Rory’s Jester) provided a Brisbane leg to Darley’s wins when the gelding won the Sky Racing World Class 3 (1400m) at Eagle Farm.

A new stakes winner for young sire Nadeem (Redoute’s Choice - Candide, by Sound Reason) formed part of an outstanding day for Darley stallions, which yielded four stakes wins in Melbourne and Sydney.

Specter (Nadeem - Woman In White, by Daylami) provided Nadeem with his second stakes winner out of his first crop with his strong success in the Listed Henry Bucks Best Dressed Stakes (1400m) at Flemington. Sepoy (Elusive Quality - Watchful, by Danehill) took his career earnings to more than $3 million with his decisive win in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes (1200m).

Sepoy cruised to his seventh win from eight starts with his one-length success in the $250,000 event but Peter Snowden said a decision must be made as to where the super three-year-old has his next run with the Manikato Stakes the option if the Darley trainer has his way.

“It is a Group I race, it is a magnificent race, it is a stallion-making race so we have got to certainly look at it in a big way,” Snowden said.

“It is a group decision both here in Australia and in Dubai. The boss has got to agree, it would be my call to go that way (the Manikato Stakes).”

Pinker Pinker (Reset - Miss Marion, by Success Express) completed a Darley stakes treble in the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m). The four-year-old sprinted quickly from the 300 metres to beat the unlucky Mid Summer Music (Oamaru Force - Samsara Lady, by Nassipour) and Parables (Lonhro - Fairytales, by Night Shift)

Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) colt Ambidexter (Commands - Dextrous, Quest For Fame) swept home down the middle of the track to provide Commands with his 40th individual stakes winner in the Listed Ming Dynasty Handicap (1400m) at Rosehill.

Darley stallions enjoyed a winning double at Seymour on Thursday courtesy of Taylor’s Command (Commands) and Tahitian Black (Lonhro).

Taylor’s Command (3 f Commands - Pristine Kristine, by Spinning World) won the Height Financial Service Fillies & Mare Maiden over 1109m by 2 lengths while Tahitian Black (4 Lonhro - Perle) came home along the inside to land the Xurich Insurance 0-72 Handicap over 1209m.

She is the 25th winner so far this season for Commands who was also represented on Thursday by Commanding Cash (5 g Longueville Lass) won the $15,000 Bendigo Bank Handicap over 1350m at Wyong.

Commands is the leading sire by winners in Australia this season no with 25, one ahead of Redoute’s Choice with Fastnet Rock next on 19. All three are sons of Danehill.

Tahitian Black was winning for the third time in 7 starts. A winner at Betfair Park in March, Tahitian Black is a half-brother to the Gr 3 winner Falaise and Sydney winner Koichi.

Coolmore stallion Aussie Rules (Danehill - Last Second, by Alzao) earned his first Australian winner when Kabiddi (Aussie Rules - Divine Rose, by Nijinsky’s Way) broke through at Tuesday’s Warwick Farm meeting.

The Paul Cave-trained three-year-old claimed the Randwick Betting Auditorium Maiden Plate (1400m) at his second start. The grey gelding is one of 10 progeny of Aussie Rules to hit the track in Australia.

Kabiddi’s breakthrough win came at the 31st start for Aussie Rules’s offspring with the breed producing nine minor placings before the sire’s first win.

Meanwhile, Darley’s win machine Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) produced another treble on Tuesday.

The John McNair-trained gelding Com’ear (Commands - Ears Veronica, by Ron Bon) claimed the Wakeley Handicap (2400m) before the Darley-owned Ambidexter (Commands - Dextrous, by Quest For Fame) completed a Warwick Farm double in the Ashcroft Maiden Handicap (1400m).

Zuckerberg (Commands - Love And Emotion, by Woodman) provided the Victorian leg to Commands’s trio of successes with his win in the Centrebet Get On To Get Out Handicap (1000m) at the Geelong Synthetic meeting.

A trifecta in Friday’s J T Dixon Geelong Maiden Plate (1100m) on the Geelong Synthetic track provided the highlight of a prolific day for Darley sires.

Caulfield trainer Robert Smerdon produced The Kitkat Kid (Gonski - Sharna Cabarna, by Dolphin Street) to win the $12,000  race in fine style on debut, beating another debutant, the Peter Snowden-trained Glows (Canny Lad - Lustre, by Quest For Fame).

Subtle Charm (Elusive Quality - Fancy That, by Volksraad) completed the Darley sires’ monopoly on the placings.

Earlier, Ad Valorem (Danzig - Classy Women, by Relaunch) provided the first winner for Anthony Freedman when the Darley-owned filly Boredom (Ad Valorem - Insouciance, by Quest For Fame) fought hard to claim the GRC Function & Events Centre Maiden (1900m).

Boredom became the first Australian progeny of Ad Valorem to win past 1400 metres. Ad Valorem’s stock have won up to 2200 metres in Europe during the northern hemisphere season.

Boredom also took Ad Valorem to the top of the Australian second-season sires by winners’ table.

Darley’s win machine Commands was also among the winners on Friday, producing a two-state double with winners in Queensland and NSW. The Bryan Guy-trained Oak Street (Commands - Restless Dream, by Rory’s Jester) won the I-Knead My Passenger Handicap (1200m) while Siegel (Commands - Vegas, by Canny Lad) claimed the App Pro Chemical Handicap (1300m) at Taree/

Darley stallions enjoyed a two state metropolitan winning treble on Wednesday. At Canterbury, homebred filly Detours (3 f Ad Valorem – Hairpin, by Octagonal) showed she is a filly with Spring potential when beating older horses in the Grand Pavillion Handicap over 1200 metres. Detours was spotting the leaders a start into the straight but sprinted fast to catch the six-year-old Brian’s Honour (Anabaa).

“She showed a good change of gears, we’ve always thought she goes nicely.” jockey Kerrin McEvoy said. ” I think she’ll appreciate a little further, she’s got a bright future.”

Further north at Doomben and Commands was represented by two winners.

Patinack Farm-owned Transporter (4 g Commands - Portrait Collector, by Sir Tristram) ran on strongly in the straight to defeat Ampho Power in the Padua College Handicap (1640m). In the following race Commandare (5 g Commands - Wrap Around, by Bletchingly) raced away to score by four and a quarter lengths in the Qardss Handicap over 1200m.

Commandare was winning for the third time after finishing second at his past two starts.

Darley’s stallion line-up has continued to warm to the task early in the 2011/12 season after the team produced winning doubles at Tuesday’s Kensington and Geelong Synthetic meetings.

Last season’s most prolific winning sire Commands (Danehill - Cotehele House, by My Swanee) got the ball rolling for Darley when the David Hayes-trained Amaal (Commands - Written By A Queen, by Masterclass) claimed the Tamarama Maiden Handicap (1400m) at Randwick.

Written By A Queen (Masterclass - Jelignite Jen, by Crested Wave) is a stakes-placed half-sister to the New Zealand Group 2 winner Singing Star (Danasinga - Jelignite Jen, by Crested Wave).  Written By A Queen produced a colt by Flying Spur last year.

The Tony Vasil stable produced a smart daughter of Reset (Zabeel - Assertive Lass, by Zeditave) to win the GRC Function Centre Maiden (1200m) on the Geelong Synthetic track. Classic Elle (Reset - Mystic Elle, by Encosta De Lago) streeted her rivals to post a five-length win in the $12,000 race.

Classic Elle is a half-sister to the city winner True Tales (Tale Of The Cat - Mystic Elle, by Encosta De Lago).

The Fantastic Light (Rahy - Jood, by Nijinsky II) mare Princess Fontaine (Fantastic Light - Dandasila, by Danehill Dancer) completed Darley’s winning day with her effort to take out the Charles Rose Jewellers Handicap (1900m).
