Group 3 winner Primus (Flying Spur – Copa De Oro, by Hector Protector) has a new home in Queensland after five seasons standing in Victoria.
Primus stood at Chatswood Stud where he sired 12 individual winners from 88 named foals with the best of his progeny including Melbourne winner Apollo Creed (Primus – She’s A Knockout, by Kingston Rule).
Primus will commence duties at Clear Mountain Fairview where he will stand for $3300 (inc GST).
Flying Spur is a proven sire of sires here in Queensland and to have another of his Group performing sons on offer at an affordable price is a fantastic prospect for breeders,” stud manager Mick Frappell said in a statement.
“Primus was not tried until he reached three and from there he did not disappoint with a first-up win and numerous Stakes victories in just his first preparation.
“These Group performances set the benchmark for what was to come, including his tremendous victory in the Group 3 Tramway Quality.
“His oldest crop are three-year-olds and he has a number of handy youngsters in work including multiple winner Apollo Creed.”
