First for Turffontein

Dual Group I winner Turffontein (Johannesburg) has had his first foal born at Blue Gum Farm in Victoria. The filly foaled on August 1 is out of Michelin Star (Beautiful Crown) , who won three metropolitan races in Sydney and over $130,000.

Turffontein won five races and $1.27 million including the the William Reid Stakes (Gr 1) and Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (Gr 1) and is syndicated. His fee in 2011 is advertised at $8,800 incl. GST.

Blue Gum fees

Blue Gum Farm in Euroa announced its 2011 fees yesterday. Astronomer Royal (USA), Turffontein, Churchill Downs and Elvstroem, will all stand at $8,800 with newcomer Red Arrow at $6,600.
